Alleviate aches and pains at the office with an arm or leg support
Using a mouse and keyboard all day equates to a lot of wrist movement. Long periods of use can lead to painful aching wrists and long term injuries such as occupational overuse syndrome (OOS) or repetitive strain injury (RSI). A wrist support in front of the keyboard, a mouse rest or arm rest may help reduce this.
We offer a variety of solutions, from the popular mouse trailer wrist pad, to mouse and keyboard wrist rests, and the unique Ergorest range of full arm supports. Some mice, such as the Penguin, provide support as part of the inclusive palm pad. We should also be aware of the support obtained from arms on chairs. The latest arms are three dimensional, which helps to overcome the problem of the chair arm hindering the ability to sit up to the desk.
The popular Metro Footrest made to the former Department of Labour standard is the ideal support for tired legs, particularly where the height of the desk compromises the ability to set your feet on the floor. This foot rest support is also available in higher models and vinyl finish to meet sanitisation needs.
Look at our Horizon leg rest in single and twin support for providing adjustable height support for legs during the recovery period. Horizon can swivel and roll away, and the adjustment is an excellent way to get a workable height for nursing staff during treatment.
The arrival of sit/stand desks has highlighted the benefit of mats when you are in the standing mode. Ergomat provides a wide range of sizes, including made-to-measure, and has special, sturdy 15mm compression tubes to give firm but sensitive long-term standing comfort. Simple gel mats in standard sizes complement the foot supports.
Look for the MoovRite board to provide support for core muscle movement while standing.
